Hello world!

Hello world and welcome to the new and improved Lauren Kovacik Photography.  I want to introduce myself and share a little about my heart for photography and the passion behind the photographs.

My love of photography began at a young age. My first camera was given to me around the age of nine, I took pictures of everything. I was constantly taking pictures, documenting life events, family, nature, anything around me there was a picture to be made. I took this love and curiosity of the world around me into photography classes in middle school and eventually high school, where I learned more about how to use the camera technically. 

When it came time to choose a college and a major I couldn’t think of anything I would rather do than photography. Nothing excited me more, nothing drove me more, and I was so passionate about photography. So for the next four and a half years I spent studying Fine Art Photography at California State University Long Beach where I received my BFA in 2019. 

Throughout these years of schooling I started doing photoshoots and weddings and fell in love with storytelling and capturing love stories of couples.

Portraits and weddings have become my absolute JAM and it makes my heart so so happy to meet new people. It is so amazing to make beautiful pictures for them to keep and hold dear for the rest of their lives.

I am so lucky to be able to do what I love every day. Thank you to everyone who has supported me this far. To all who modeled for me in the early days and those who continue to push me to pursue my dreams. You all rock.
