The architecture at the Palos Verdes Estates, California is truly something to admire. It’s so beautiful here that Esmerelda and Gilberto decided to have their sunset Malaga Cove engagement session over the summer!
Esmerelda and Gilberto went with simple but cute outfits to take pictures in. Esmerelda posed in a strapless blue flower dress. To match her, Gilberto wore a light blue button up. Simple outfits go a long way, especially when you’re going to be moving all over the place to take pictures—it might get a bit hot!
The plaza has many places to take pictures of your couples—brick walkways, in front of the fountain, on the stairs, ducking down in between hallways, and so much more! We walked up and down the plaza to find all of the good spots which you can see down below. Even better, there’s a small lookout that oversees the cove. We took a few sneaky pictures there as well, so in a way, they got the best of both worlds! An urban photoshoot, but also some pictures on a cliff.
Towards the end of the session, the sky became a bit cloudy. However, that doesn’t mean that the session ended off poorly! Cloudy sessions can be just as fun and lovely as any other sunny days. Luckily, golden hour came before the clouds did, so it seems like the weather worked completely in Esmerelda and Gilberto’s favor.
I absolutely enjoyed capturing Esmerelda and Gilberto’s sunset Malaga Cove engagement. I’m so happy that I’ve not only gotten the opportunity to capture another love story, but also to shoot here again. You can see more of that galley here if you’re interested in looking at both if wanting to have a session out here.
