Family Beach Session in Los Angeles, California

The best thing about having a family photoshoot at the beach is how you can make a spectacular trip out of it! You’re already coming down to the beach, you might as well play in the water a bit! Here’s this sweet little family shoot I had out at Marina Del Rey in California at golden hour!

If you’re unfamiliar, Marina Del Rey is a harbor in Los Angeles. Currently, it’s North America’s “largest man-made, small craft harbor.” However, when it was first built, it was the world’s largest at the time. So cool! The harbor is home to many boats and a few beaches as well… which is where the pics were taken!

Now, let’s talk attire. Some people like to go all out for their shoots. Others like to keep it casual. However, something you can never go wrong with a semi-casual! It’s not too crazy for anywhere but it’s not too casual for anywhere either. Example: mama in a white dress for the beach. This is perfect! On the other hand, the father is wearing a neat black long sleeve and jeans. He looks like he’s matching their daughter with her black dress and tights. So cute! This kind of attire is perfect for a shoot at the beach.

This day was perfect. The sun was out, not many clouds in sight, and for a day in late October, it was a bit windy. The water was nice and cool and this beach truly made for such an amazing photoshoot location. When you think of Los Angeles, you think about the city. But here we are, this beautiful gem on the edge of the city called Marina Del Rey in southern California.
