Woodland set wedding at Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga, California. Mountain setting, rustic wedding decorations, and bright wedding flowers; it’s absolutely perfect. If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you might remember these two lovebirds having their engagement over in Baldwin Hills not too long ago! So thrilled to also be a part of their special day and continue capturing their love.
On this day, we began shooting at Emily and David’s first look. The two couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Emily wore a patterned empire waist wedding dress with a floral headband. On the other hand, David was wearing navy blue wedding suit and blue floral tie. A cool little detail of his jacket was that the inside was lined with colorful hummingbirds!
To celebrate Jewish heritage, there were a few key moments that took place in the ceremony. First, the was the wine drinking from a Kiddush cup. Another moment was when the two were wrapped in tallit, or fringed prayer shawl. This symbolizes “unity and being surrounded by love.” And lastly—the most memorable in my opinion—is breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony. Amazing to experience and capture on camera.
Being able to see such cool traditions take place and see two people come together is truly something special. Thank you to Emily and David for not only trusting me, but allowing me to see them on their most special day. A woodland set wedding in Topanga, California is so unique and beautiful—it’s something to consider for your wedding day!
